Major/Minor

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS 

Major in Russian and East European Studies (REES) includes courses in Russian and East European history, politics, law, film studies, and other related disciplines. The credits will be distributed as follows: 

• 16 credits (two full-year courses) in Russian and Eastern European languages.  All course progressions must be approved by the department.  Up to 8 language credits from approved study abroad programs can be applied.

• 4 credits: REES 200 or RUSS 270 or equivalent;

• 16 credits approved courses from at least two departments;

• 4 credits: A capstone seminar offered by REES program (300 or 400- level course).
  
  
  
  

MINOR REQUIREMENTS
Minor in Russian and East European Studies (REES) credits will be distributed as follows:

• 16 credits (two full-year courses) in Russian and/or Eastern European languages. All course progressions must be approved by the department. No more than 8 credits in language study from an approved study abroad program can be applied toward this requirement.
  
• 4 credits: REES 200 or RUSS 270 or equivalent;
  
• 12 credits of approved classes from at least two departments representing REES
